Well done to The Bureau staff member Richie for completing his first Marathon as mentioned in the previous post. He battled against the wind and rain to complete it in 3hrs 35mins and 25secs and finished 370 out of nearly 3000 who finished the full marathon. Around 17000 people competed in some form or another on the day.
Good luck to Richie this May Day Bank Holiday Monday as he makes his first attempt at the Belfast Marathon. He is also collecting for a good cause - the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which is the official Belfast Marathon charity.
Worth noting that Richie's only form of exercise 3 months ago was lifting a pint of cold German beer so it will be a great achievement if he completes the 26 miles.
The marathon starts at 9am, Belfast City Hall, Donegall Square North.
