The Specials - Fred Perry Collaboration

The Specials have worked closely with Fred Perry to produce 3 shirts which encapsulate the iconic style of the band. The shirts have been created around the core theme of 'black and white unite' so important to the band and their music. This is reflected in the monochrome palette and the unique twin coloured laurels and chequer detailing.

The polo is based on the M1200 which is quite a large block and will be available in sizes XS/36 - XL/44.

The shirt is based on the Laurel block slim fit button down shirt and will be available in sizes S/38 - XL/44.

Aitor Throup's Mille Miglia Jacket for C.P. Company

Aitor Throup has designed the 20th Anniversary Edition of C.P. Company's most iconic piece - the Goggle or Mille Miglia Jacket. Named the 1000m Goggle Jacket, it is an innovative, special edition re-design of one of the most iconic jackets ever produced  (the original jacket in the last photo below).  Being Hunted offer a look into the special exhibition at C.P. Company's showroom in Milan, give a short history of the jacket and an excellent interview with Aitor Throup.  Check the links and thanks to Being Hunted for the info.

We will be receiving the C.P. Company 1000m Mille Miglia jacket in the coming Autumn.

Observer Fashion Supplement by Tank

Apologies, the Tank men's fashion supplement was in last weeks Observer - it just wasn't included in the Northern Ireland version.

Workaday by Engineered Garments

When I look back over the twenty years of the shop there have been some stand out defining moments like the start of our relationship with Paul Smith in 1989, the first Dries Van Noten collection we bought in the early nineties and our first encounter of Martin Margiela.  Another one was in 2005 at “Pitti” when we came across Todd and Diaiki who were selling a small collection called Engineered Garments. One organised the production the other being the designer. Out of this relationship has developed a great friendship with Angelo, Daiki and Todd. 

Through this friendship we are able to exclusively in Europe offer their latest project called “Workaday”. It is a simple idea of basic everyday American clothing, executed to the exacting standard that you would expect from Engineered Garments. It will be available autumn ‘09.
